muse

hahahaha, so, i hated muse as an opening act last night, right? and in my mind i just felt like watching muse was watching a black hole... so then i just saw a setlist for what they played and they played a song called SUPERMASSIVE BLACK HOLE! hahaha!!!

...the newspapers loved the show. i mean the depeche mode show, hehe, not muse. i'm so relieved. i've come to expect low marks for shows i've attended and loved, so this was a great surprise.

..yes, am at work. everything is very slow and quiet. i've had three calls in over an hour. i've already read through all the newspapers i brought and will now spend the next few hours trying hard not to fall asleep. fascinating day. haha.

i think with Muse you either love them or hate them. david loves them and i, well, don't exactly hate them but don't really like them much either. i actually kind of like the new single (the one you mentioned) but that's because it sounds nothing like the rest of their stuff, which i'm only starting to find tolerable now.

glad to hear DM were great!

somabish: :)

yeah, see, the thing is, i thought the music/songs were fine, and i could see why some are fans - hell, technically, -i- should have loved it. but the leadsinger's vibe was so bad i couldn't hear the music at all. my brain just tuned it out.

it was like watching a photograph that is technically good - nice colours, interesting subject, etc - but you feel nothing because there's just something missing from it.

so, i'm still open to the idea that the muse albums might be okay or even real good in spots - i just don't ever want to see them live again. :)

DM = TEH BOOOOOMB, hehehe... i ordered the live-cds right as i got home. i can't believe i've gotten to see them twice up front in just a few months, and they switched the setlists just a bit so combined, i got almost all my favourite songs played. wee!
