:(

i just got word that one of my college friends in america was found dead on campus yesterday. (story at wral.com, story at n & o) i'm really shocked. i went to several classes with denita, and we both worked at the school newspaper - i have very fond memories of her. i really hope they can resolve what happened soon. man. :(

thank you. i was really surprised to get the news - i wasn't close with her, but talked plenty with her and always liked her, she was a very bright, sharp girl so it's really sad. :/

Oh, no. Oh, I'm so sorry. :( I thought about you when I saw the story. I always think about you when I see stories about Central. I wondered if you had known her, but just assumed it had been too much time. {{{{you}}}}}

This case is getting a lot of media attention, which leads me to figure they're going to be focusing hard on trying to figure it out. Everybody has been saying what a sweet girl she was.

yeah, i was really surprised to get word of it (and grateful that somebody thought to e-mail me, since i'm crap at keeping in touch, but a guy from the echo thought to e-mail me - very sweet of him) because it's so very tragic.

i wasn't close with her, but talked to her plenty at the office, and she was always just a very bright person, smiling a lot. it's so strange to read about it from this far away - i even saw a video on wral.com and the former echo editor (who came after i left, but whom i met when i visited you a few years back) was in the clip. and the articles are all quoting people i know, including dear dr evans who was my academic advisor.

poor denita. she left a great impression with many, so it must be quite sad at central because she knew a lot of people. :(
