i hope ya'll are having a really nice day - i definitely am. :)
first, i took a sleep-in morning. lazy mornings on a workday are so cool. when i got to work, i unexpectedly got asked to do a month-long project that should be fun.
next, a lady at work (the one who knit me cool gloves for birthday last year) gave me a knit sweater, bolero-style that she'd mailordered last year but couldn't wear because it's too big for her. it fits me great, and the pale pink colour totally works with my outfit today. plus, it's chilly, so suddenly having a sweater to cozy around in? fab!
and then my other workmate, alan, gave me a great suggestion for something fun to do in london when i go there next month: i'm going to shakespeare's globe theatre to see a matinee performance of a midsummer night's dream!
i bought standingroom tickets, which should be great, and it was only £13.50 for two tickets, including processing fees. this is going to be so much geeky fun! here's hoping it doesn't rain.. hahaha.
i'm doing all sorts of "cultured" things this spring - this month i'm going to see hamlet at the royal swedish dramatic theatre, and then the lady who gave me the shirt is taking me and another workmate to see tosca at the royal swedish opera (for free! her husband works there). it's going to be so much fun, i've never been to either venue before.
oh, but let me continue telling why today rocks so hard - tonight, we're going to a chocolate tasting event at a really good chocolatery downtown! we'll get to try different types of chocolate, taste fancy chocolate bon bons, and other fun stuff.
...now if we could only manage to also attend the edith backlund concert as well (unfortunately timed to start in the middle of when we're still at the chocolate tasting), the day would be perfect... :)
more fun things coming up:
kelly clarkson-concert on thursday, gardening convention this weekend, moto boy-concert on monday, tom mcrae-concert in may, then two trips to london that will include meeting redjanet, more shakespeare and a bunch of sparks-concerts... and in june, there's the kylie minogue-concert and the dolly parton-concert (and maybe pj harvey? hmm?? pleeease?).
...now if only i could get my brother a job... eh... i'll stop rambling now. 5 hours until fancy chocolate!
