our balcony haven!

Check it out. Flower overload, no? Love it! Check out the tomatoes, wee! (ignore the bags with colorful stuff, they're for work, believe it or not...)

I'll post a new photo later to show the cute seatcushions and parasol we bought yesterday. I'll also tell about how we ended up locked inside a parkinggarage for an hour on saturday...

That bench and that table-thingy solution = Pure genius.
Your balcony looks roughly the same size as ours (spacious length-wise, but also fairly, um, "narrow") and I'm constantly struggling with how to fit actual furniture out there while still being able to move around it all in a comfortable and elegant manner - to, say, water the flowers and stuff.

Now why didn't I think of that. :)

hehe, glad i could inspire! yeah, we're very happy about the way things worked out on our balcony - the bench was just 645 SEK at bauhaus and is really sturdy and nice. added bonus? you can actually stretch out and nap on it. i've always hated most table + chair solutions because i like to flop around and change position when relaxing, so a bench works wonderfully.

the balcony-table thing works really well because it's real easy to fold-down when not needed. we're also going to add two boxes or something to use at foot rests. when not in use, one can put the foot rests underneath the bench. ta-da!

we had breakfast with marp's mom on the balcony the other day and it worked great and didn't feel cramped at all.

ooh pretty! I just measured our balcony and why I didn't think a bench would fit out there I will never know!
