plant-a-thon

Have bought loads of plants for our garden. The roses will go here, along the wall to our guesthouse. The berry bushes will be part of a whole berrypatch opposite of the guesthouse. The alien flowers will go in the front of the main house.

We bought these three roses:

These Echinacea flowers:

And this "chocolate flower" where the flowers _actually_ smell like chocolate, I kid you not!:

Also, we've bought an elderberry bush, two black currant bushes, and a yellow raspberry bush. As soon as the party is done with, I am so going right back to the flower place and buying mooooore! I want to buy and plant a zillion more. Having a garden for the first time = makes me loopy. I WANT IT ALL! :)

I want a garden house, I want a sunflower patch, I want tulip-overload, I want bluebells, I want a cherry tree (that isn't full of sour cherries like the current trees in the garden), I want more roses, more berry bushes (blueberries! tayberries! raspberries!), just plain MORE.

And here's our first housewarming gift, from my co-worker Kia. She made us a hummingbee/butterfly-spa, haha! The note says "SPA for humming bees, butterflies and very small birds" and is adorable. :)

somabish: Yey, flowers!

We have yet to manage to plant these flowers due to the party and party-aftermath, but this weekend we're going back and will spend most of it gardening. I love having a garden! I even love that I've still got seriously sore legs from picking up fallen apples sunday night, haha. :D And you are moooore than welcome to visit anytime in the future. :D
