i'm getting to a point where i'm starting to have too many skills at work, heh. they just keep plonking me in to fill in on different projects so i keep having to train for new things and then be ready to use the skills once in a blue moon.
today i'm working on the project i was bogged down with all last friday while also preparing to take that test in an hour. after that i also need to fit in an hour of lunch as well as an hour of training for a whole different project i need to start filling in on tomorrow. i also need to start making sure i have everything in order for that other project i am to train and run with newbies on monday.
so, naturally, i was just asked to please train a group of newbies on an entirely different project today as well. i just stared at the guy asking because... _when_?
it's good to be busy and it's cool i get to do stuff a lot of other people don't, but it doesn't really bring me extra money, and it makes my days really messy so... meh.
this is exactly why i am applying to that other team - if i get that job, it means just sitting on one project every day, and with other people having to do the thinking and planning. after a messy 9 months, that sounds really, really appealing.
uh oh, another boss person is approaching. i swear, if they ask me to take on one more thing, i might snap. frrr!
