you know, some people just get flowers.
i just got... an entire potted mini-rose bush tree. oh, and a pineapple.
there's something to be said for people who buy you an entire mini-rose bush tree. (and who, when you on the phone go: "you know, i could really go for some pineapple. can you pick one up for me?" answers with: "heh. i already picked two pineapples up and put in my basket. i just kind of figured you might've wanted one, too.")
for now, i'll settle for an emoticon:
p.s. isn't my blue-pink water lily glass candle holder left of the pineapple pretty? i got it for christmas from mom. and yes, that is a glass christmas tree hiding to the right behind the rose tree. it's my brother's, i had nothing to do with it. and that plant with two yellow flowers? yo, it grew out of this tiny, tiny stalk with one flower that broke off the original plant over a year ago.
the original plant died, but i had put the flower stalk in a glass of water because it was pretty, and it sprouted roots, and now look at it, all tall and silly looking, with two pretty flowers. so proud of it. it needs water every day and always goes to the brink of death every week or so, but always bounces right back after some water. awesome.
p.s. also, met up with my aunt. she was really cool. and insisted i called her aunt. heh. i never call relatives by anything than first name, so it was awkward at first, but now i feel oddly into the concept. aunt ferida. cool. :)
ok. cin cin!
