lucky star

madonna is coming to sweden for the first time since 1990. (my brother was at that concert, i was too young to go. i still rememeber the enormous vogue-poster he bought that covered an entire wall with madonnas face.)

tickets went on sale 3 days ago, and despite making efforts for four solid hours using two computers at work, my cellphone webbrowser, and marp trying from his work computers, we were unsuccessful in scoring tickets. ARGH!

i was hilariously upset. i usually have okay ticket-mojo, so to have it fail me for MADONNA really sucked. but! HA HA! today they announced she's gonna do an extra concert the day before the concert that was just on sale. and the new concert will then take place on a saturday rather than a sunday = way more fun night for a concert, and much easier to attend since i'll have to go to gothenburg to see it.

tickets go on sale this tuesday, and this time I WANT TICKETS! so, currently, my brain is mulling over what ticket outlet to queue at, and how early i should go line up. tickets go on sale at 9 am. i figure i can probably handle lining up at 4-5 a.m.... while there will be some diehards camping all night, i figure lining up at 4-5 a.m. should secure me tickets, at least, and if i'm extra in luck, maybe even golden circle tickets.

of course, marp will play backup by trying online booking again.

hrm. hehe.

so, how's your day going? hehehe. me, i'm watching cops. people are scary. :o

I've never lined up for tickets.. I think online is quicker, but good luck and I hope you get tickets! :)

i've never lined up for tickets either, i always use online. but after 4 hours of me and marp trying to get tickets through the website via multiple computers and accesslines and still coming up with nil, i'm willing to try.

i have lined up for hours trying to get in the front at shows, and that's always been kinda fun (the other nutters lining up make great company, usually), so i figured "what the hell." if lining up in person will score me golden circle tickets at face value rather than at the tripled black market price, so be it. :)

good luck with it all :)

Trent is playing at a music festival here next Sunday and I can see myself lining up at the front row for hours to wait it out for him.. hehe..

I'd be interested in seeing Madonna if she tours here.. heh.. I've spent so much money on gigs already this year but it's all an experience right? :)

I managed to score a ticket for the show in Oslo (her first trip here EVAH), and I'm super excited!

go you!! :D

i still am not quite over the shock of not scoring a ticket. 56,000 tickets, and neither of us got even close to scoring tickets in FOUR HOURS! so stupid!

what made it extra aggravating is that the major newspapers wrote that there WASN'T a rush for tickets and that they were still available at regular ticket-outlets, but that the online website wasn't being able to cope with the traffic.

hence, i will try a ticket-outlet on tuesday. bonus for me is that the new concert is on a better day, wee! here's hoping. MUST SEE MADONNA! hehehe. :D

The tickets here sold out in 34 minutes... Madness, I tell 'ya, madness.

She's not the greatest singer in the world, but she's MADONNA. Must, must, must see.
