i haven't posted since _january_? eh, eh, eeeeh... time flies? haha.
i knew it'd been a while, but 8 posts totals, where 5 detailed the temperature outside around new year's.. ouch.
all is well. well, i have a cold, if i have to be honest, of the "occasionally coughing up a lung"-variety, but i'll live. had to work while sick on monday and tuesday, but am now home for the second day and resting. definitely working tomorrow, though, i reckon.
have mostly been resting and watching the olympics coverage. it's been ok. am finding myself caught up in the insane space-sport curling. have you seen it??? i never paid much attention until this year. people sliding sloooowly on the ice and even more sloooowly releasing a flat bowling ball, and then two other people slide alongside the ball ("stone") and then furiously use squeegee mops to clear the path a bit more to make the stone slide just a tad more precisely. i've figured out that the goal is to try and hit a target spot and earn points, while your opponent is free to try and knock your stone out of the target zone. fun stuff!
i looooove watching the player first sending off the stone sloooowly sliding, like in space, and then letting the stone go so, so lightly. it looks awesome. if i ever have kids, i hope they take up curling - it seems like a perfect mix of a sport that's fun to go cheer at that also yields way low injuries (just a guess), heh.
of course, figure skating remains a fun winter olympics mainstay. i just watched this youtube-clip of johnny weir exhibition-skate to lady gaga. love it, duh:
in other news.. eh, not much. man, sitting up straight to type for a few minutes is exhausting. going back to resting mode now. cin cin..
